Poll: Positively neutral and treat "Lakhta Centre" 67% of the inhabitants of the nearest region (St. Petersburg)


The research holding Romir held in June 2011 telephone survey among residents of the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg, which planned to build a "Lakhta center" with high-rise office "Gazprom"

The survey respondents were also asked to assess the problems of Primorye region, which concern them most. The highest rating received traffic congestion (48%), environmental degradation (39%) and littered streets (38%). Estimated construction "Lakhta Center" noted 16% of respondents, and this project will help solve a number of transportation and infrastructure problems of the (57%), would enhance the prestige and attractiveness of the region (51%), and will give the city new jobs (45%) . However, almost one in four (23%) were not prepared to tolerate the temporary inconvenience associated with the construction period, even for the sake of future benefits.

The press service of the ROMIR stressed that the data obtained through telephone interviews with the inhabitants of Primorye region of Saint Petersburg in June 2011. The survey was conducted on a sample, representing the population aged 14 years. In total, 504 respondents participated. Sampling error (504) = 4.5%.
